Still there...

Hello everybody,
just in case someone still finds his or her way to my blog. It's been a quite busy time recently. Lots of things to do, working and I have to look for a new flat in Bochum. Besides I am now meeting regularly with my new band collegues for rehearsals...
To those who are still in Newcastle, have a great time! At the moment I am working on a Newcastle photo album... :-) Take care!!!

Goodbye England, welcome Germany!

All things must come to an end, and so has Newcastle. On Wednesday I will finally return to Germany. Needless to say, I had a great time way up North in the "toon" and I want to come back again. I get a happy feeling when I remember how much we did and what a lovely "bunch" of Europeans we all are. :-) I enjoyed countless hours in Jesmond, lovely dinners at Hilal's place, St. James Park, the Gate... or just having a nice get-together with a bottle of wine, just to mention a few things. I hope you enjoyed it the same as I did. All the best for your studies and I am already looking forward to seeing many of you again soon.

A couple of days left...

Our group is getting smaller and with Filip Sweden has now left the country. :-) We had a nice farewell dinner at Hilal's place and, as usual, we had a lovely time and a lot of fun with the cooking: Pasta Aioli with loads of Garlic. Inspired by the Fawlty Towers episode "The Waldorf Salad" I prepared a Waldorf salad for the first time in my life. Gladely enough, people enjoyed it. On the left you can see Jens and Filip "inventing" a new salad dressing... The evening was spent with talking about this and that and reflecting about the past few weeks and months.
One last advice: In Britain it seems important to underline the "genuiness" of food. Never use "false" mayonnaise for your salad. :-)
